Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine support tasks required to administer and execute a human resource program, including but not limited to payroll administration, benefits administration, and leave tracking; performance and talent tracking; productivity and recognition program administration; occupational health and safety documentation; and creating materials to support training and development.
  • Administer benefits programs, including 401(k), health insurance, life and disability insurance, flexible spending plans, EAP, commuter benefits, and other programs, including but not limited to enrollment, broker communications, reconciliations, and troubleshooting on behalf of the team.
  • Maintain checklists for onboarding and new hire orientation, and perform onboarding tasks, such as employee eligibility verifications, collecting documentation required for employment, liaising to order the required supplies, scheduling trainings, and maintaining contact and other key HR information.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including regulatory training, safety and business continuity training, anti-harassment training, cybersecurity protocols, etc.
  • Support recruiting and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants through sourcing candidates online, organizing resumes, documenting interview notes and updating the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • As appropriate, maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in relevant people operations roles, with a focus on benefits administration and payroll
  • Experience working in finance, especially private equity/venture capital or hedge funds, is a plus
  • Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, especially in Maryland and New York
  • Demonstrated ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality without exception
  • Excellent detail orientation; excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM-CP certification is a plus



This position is full-time, in-person in the Fells Point district of Baltimore, Maryland.
