Korsana is a preclinical-stage company developing a next-generation blood-brain barrier (BBB) shuttle with a lead program targeting amyloid beta, a pathogenic protein involved in Alzheimer’s disease.

The lead program, KRSA-028, combines two independently-validated drug components – the amyloid beta target of FDA-approved Kisunla (Eli Lilly) and the BBB shuttle of trontinemab (Roche) – with the goal to increase drug exposure in the brain. Korsana further adapted KRSA-028 to subcutaneous dosing (versus intravenous) with the potential to dose once-a-month, both to benefit patient convenience given the need for prolonged treatment.
