Joshua Barrett, M.D., MBA is a Senior Analyst at Catalio Capital Management, LP. He is primarily responsible for making private equity investments in breakthrough biomedical technology companies founded by leading scientist-entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Catalio, Joshua was a Consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on biopharma R&D, operations management, and commercial growth strategy. He completed his internal medicine residency internship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst Hospital Center. He has held numerous internships in life sciences and healthcare technology investing, including with OrbiMed Advisors, General Atlantic, Bain Capital and Flare Capital Partners.
Joshua earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Cum Laude, and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. He attained his MBA degree from Columbia Business School with a concentration in Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management. He received his B.S. degree in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology from Yale University, graduating with distinction in the major.
